Saint Barnabas Day School has been a wonderful, caring place for our pre-kindergarten daughter. The teachers are very perceptive and have fostered her personal and social skills while reinforcing her talents, just what parents look for in a preschool. The level of investment and love Teachers Amy and Lori show to our daughter continues to impress, both on us, and on her. Saint Barnabas Day School is a wonderful place where a child can learn fearlessly about the world and continue to bloom.

We really love the St. Barnabas Day School! We have three children and our two older ones have gone through the preschool and pre-K programs, and we are looking forward to sending our third when she is old enough. The teachers are warm and caring people who make the environment so friendly and welcoming that our kids have always rushed to get ready on school mornings and are excited to go (which says a lot since they are not like that for any other activity). Our oldest is at Blakely and her transition to Kindergarten from St. Barnabas was very smooth. The pre-K teachers have developed a relationship with the Kindergarten teachers on the island to make sure what they are covering is the best way to send them off to Kindergarten. Additionally, the preschool program has just the right level of activities for that age, and I really appreciate the emphasis on being a good friend and good manners. Our son "graduates" this year and we are going to miss the school next year when we have no children there after 4 straight years. We feel very lucky to have found a school for our children that lets them be kids, play, and make learning so fun.

We have been so pleased with the school, but especially the teaching staff. Teachers Kristi and Millie have worked wonders with my shy 3-year-old. I thought she would never start school without me in class! But, the summer camp leading up to school provided a seamless transition, as well as the caring and support that Kristi and Millie provided her. They taught her that school and learning is an upbeat and fun process. She didn't miss a day and she is no longer a shy 3-year-old but a confident 4-year-old in pre-k.
After attending and observing 4 pre-school classes across the island, I happily chose St. Barnabas for my daughter due to it's small class sizes, specifically themed lessons, structured circle and arts/craft times and the fun, relaxed atmosphere. I noticed Teacher Kristi always had a smile on her face and her unwavering positive attitude made her so approachable to the kids. My daughter comes home happy and talks non-stop of her lessons. St. Barnabas has definitely made her first and second year of school a great experience. We are now very excited for her brother to attend in 2008. I have been very pleased with St. Barnabas Day School. Everyone is so kind, supportive and the teachers are fabulous. There is no other place I would send our boys. We love St. Barnabas Day School.
