Anti-Racism Response: Organizational Practices Update from the Diocese of Olympia

posted in: News / Events 0
Last month, Bishop Rickel sent a letter along with an Organizational Practices Update (below) describing the first steps we will take as a diocese to renew our commitment to rooting out White Supremacy and racism from our common life, worship, and institutional structures of the Diocese of Olympia. This is work we will do together as a diocese, and individually as congregations. This anti-racism work is work we will share, under the leadership of our vestry. If you are interested in working with the vestry on this issue, please contact vestry clerk Rebecca Ditmore rebecca@rangefire.com to tell her of your interest.  You can read Bishop Rickel’s letter and the Organizational Practices here. This letter, along with a newly available Organizational Practices Update, describe the first steps we will take together as a diocese to renew our commitment to rooting out White Supremacy and racism from our common life, worship, and institutional structures of the Diocese of Olympia.
