From Elaine Percival…
Being able to gather together for special social events as the whole community of St. Barnabas is something we all look forward to and enjoy! From the Pancake Supper early in the year to the Caroling Party at year’s end, and all the other events in between, we enjoy these special opportunities to share food, conversation and laughter and to better know each other and the wider community. Our communal life at St Barnabas is very important to us and in order to better reflect our vision of sharing and being together, we’ve decided to change the name of the commission which has been known as the Fellowship Commission to Community Life. In the spirit of our Community Life, we ask that you save the dates for the following special events:
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper February 25th
Church on the Beach—August 23rd
St Nicholas Breakfast (an event for children and grandchildren) – Saturday, December 5th
Christmas Caroling Party — Sunday, December 20th
Of course we’ll continue to celebrate Epiphany with a King’s Cake, Easter Sunday with Easter egg hunting and hot cross buns, Moms on Mother’s Day, Dads on Father’s Day, our Congregation on the Feast of St Barnabas, Graduates at graduation… and we’re thinking about bringing back the Salmon Bake! That event will take some creativity so if you are interested in helping that to happen, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org! Thank you for helping to make Community Life at St Barnabas so wonderful!
