Hi St Barnabas! If you don’t know me already, my name is Cera and I am your parish administrator. What that means is I am here for your general questions and offer lots of support for Sunday services and the community life in and around St Barnabas. There is a little of everything on the plate of the parish admin, so once a month let’s dive into a little update from my office! I want to let you know of a significant change happening in our building. Starting July 12th we are welcoming back our first outside renter– The Rotary Club of Bainbridge Island. Additionally, our Reiki minsters will once again be offering Reiki in the nursery, which is such an exciting change. This is a test run of our building opening and the first of many steps as we move into a safe, healthy way of being on the St Barnabas campus.
I would also ask that if you were given a key to St Barnabas because of serving in a particular volunteer or leadership role and are no longer in that volunteer or leadership role, that you kindly return that key. The reason for this is twofold – double cut keys are expensive! We need to be able to pass keys on to the person currently in the role rather than making additional keys. Secondly, it isn’t wise to have more keys circulating than are necessary. Keys can be returned using the overnight drop box, and please include a note saying who you are so I may thank you properly!
Finally, I wanted to say thank you to all of you as we have navigated our ever changing routines. It has been difficult for all, I know. Learning new ways to be, to live, to church and worship…and I think we have all done a great job. Pat yourselves on the back! We are worshipping in person! A big thank you to those who volunteer to help us coordinate Sunday services and if you wish to join the volunteer group, please email me, firstname.lastname@example.org.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions or constructive suggestions. And if you have a moment, stop by and say hello to Suzanne, our new bookkeeper!
