Prayer Banners at St Barnabas

posted in: News / Events 0

For the remainder of Lent and throughout Holy Week, you are invited to a very special interactive installation on the St Barnabas plaza! We invite you to offer your prayers by writing them on little prayer banners you’ll find at church. We will provide the fabric banners, pens and clips, and we hope you will offer your prayers – prayers for friends and family, prayers for the wider community and the world, prayers for creation and prayers of thanksgiving any and all prayers are welcome and wanted.

Visit St Barnabas to write your prayer(s) on banners and hang them on the lines around the plaza. Offer as many as you wish, we only ask that you:

  • Wear a mask at all times when on the St Barnabas grounds.
  • Practice social distancing, staying a minimum of 6ft from anyone else on the grounds.
  • Sanitize your hands with the sanitizer provided, before and after using the fabric, pens and clothespins.
  • Sanitize the pens with sanitizing wipes before and after using them.
  • Allow the ink to dry on your banner before touching the surface of the fabric. We hope to see dozens of prayers decorate our plaza, so please come by and share your prayers with us!For any questions please contact Cera, cera@stbbi.org.
