REQUIRED TRAININGS OFFERED JUNE 2 & JUNE 9
Our Church takes its responsibility for the safety of our people seriously. The Safe Church program teaches us how to identify and prevent abuse within the church community, and is conducted several times per year, free of charge. The training consists of two sessions: Safeguarding God’s Children and Safeguarding God’s People.
Safeguarding God’s Children is required for all clergy and people who have a key to the church facility or who have the lockbox code. Vestry members, church staff, and anyone who works with children in any capacity are also required to take the Safeguarding God’s Children training.
Safeguarding God’s People is required for all clergy and people who have a key to the church facility or who have the lockbox code. Vestry members, church staff, and parish or Eucharistic Visitors are also required to take the Safeguarding God’s People training.
It is recommended that both trainings be taken in person. Safeguarding God’s Children will be offered on June 2 at noon in the parish hall, and Safeguarding God’s People will be offered on June 9 at noon in the parish hall. Bring your lunch and plan to spend about two hours.
Please note that the lock box code will be changed on June 10 and in order to receive the new code, you will need to have registered for trainings sometime before September 1. To register for the June 2 or June 9 training, email info@stbbi.org. For information or more details about registering for trainings other than the June 2 or June 9 trainings, email info@stbbi.org.
Thank you for helping us to keep St Barnabas safe for all people.
