Thanks to All for Sew-In Success

posted in: News / Events | 0

A hearty thanks to the 12 women and one young lady who came and helped at our Sew-In/Backpack Loading Work Day on February 23. Our efforts results in 25 backpacks ready to be delivered to the Kitsap Sexual Assault Center and YWCA to support their mission to help Victims of Domestic Violence prepare to go to court to get out of their situations. These backpacks show the victims that someone cares and wants them to feel special.

We had 9 people sewing zippered pouches, while our non-sewers were busy loading the other recommended items into the backpacks. The non-sewers also assembled the items for the zippered pouches so that they could be loaded and placed into the backpacks when they were finished. We met our goal and enjoyed our time together!
