This is the time of year when we’re usually planning our new Supper/Lunch Club groups. This year—not so fast! COVID is still very much with us and even though we’re mostly vaccinated, break-through infections are keeping us wary of getting together unmasked. We don’t know when we’ll feel confident enough to eat and drink together but I think you’ll agree that we need to be connected in one way or another, especially as fall and winter are coming on. Supper club has always been a wonderful way to meet fellow parishioners, both newcomers and long-time members; it’s almost symbolic of St. Barnabas’s generous hospitality to all. We’ll get back to those delightful evenings of food and drink eventually, but in the meantime we can and should stay connected, don’t you agree? I’m thinking that we could form groups that would perhaps meet remotely at first and then in person when the time seems right. If you would like to be included, please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as you can with the subject line Supper Club 2021. I’ll be pleased to answer any questions you have.
