Severe Weather Shelter Volunteers

From Randy Krause…
As noted in the Senior Warden’s letter in the Annual Report, the contract between the City of Bainbridge Island and St Barnabas has been signed for the parish to become one of Severe Weather Shelters. To full fill that responsibility we need a team of volunteers to watch over our campus when the City of Bainbridge Island activates our parish hall as a warming center.
The City will provide warming center staff, volunteers and supplies. The parish only needs to provide a single person at a time to watch over the facilities and interface with the City staff and their volunteers. The warming center, when activated will be restricted only to the parish hall.  Using weather forecasts, the City will attempt to inform St. Barnabas several days in advance of any possible need to open the warming center.
If you can provide help and be part of the St. Barnabas team during severe weather conditions when the City desires to open the St Barnabas warming center, please contact Stu Case, StuartCase@msn.com to become part of the team. Thank you!
