Join us for the inaugural St. Barnabas Trunk-or-Treat, dinner, and All Hallows’ Eve service!
Saturday, October 25
4 p.m. | Trunk-or-Treat
5 p.m. | Spaghetti Dinner in the Parish Hall
6 p.m. | All Hallows’ Eve Service in the Sanctuary
Sounds fun! But…what is a trunk-or-treat? It’s a great time in which kids of all ages can trick-or-treat in the safety of a parking lot from the trunks of decked-out, parked cars! You young-at-heart can show up as early as you like to get your cars situated and ready for the young, who are invited to show up at 4 p.m. for trick-or-treating in the St. Barnabas lower parking lot. We’ll have some carnival games and activities, as well! After trunk-or-treating, we’ll gather for a spaghetti dinner in the Parish Hall! Then, we’re on to the sanctuary for the All Hallows’ Eve prayer service!
The All Hallow’s Eve service is a traditional Episcopal prayer service, but we’re adding costumes and a creative liturgy! Kids and adults alike can—and are encouraged—to keep their Halloween costumes on for this exciting service in the church year! We will have special readings from scripture (like the intriguing story of the Witch of Endor from Samuel, or the dramatic telling of the Valley of Dry Bones from Ezekiel), and some exciting music on our organ from Music Director and Organist, Sheila Bristow.
Make plans to join us for this fun and festive event!
