THE PARISH CHOIR (All Voices)
The Parish Choir at St. Barnabas sings at 10 a.m. Sunday service during the academic year, along with other major church events and feast days such as Christmas and Holy Week services. The Parish Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m., plus a Sunday warm–up at 9:15 a.m. This is a friendly group to sing with—newcomers are welcome!
2024 Fall Schedule:
•Sept 19 – first rehearsal
•Sept 22 – first Sunday
•Nov 28 (Thanksgiving) – no rehearsal
•Dec 1st – choir Sunday off

SCHOLA NOVA (Soprano and Alto Voices)
The Schola Nova treble choir sings Vespers services at St. Barnabas. This group sings primarily a cappella, chant–based repertoire. Attendance can be drop–in or regular. Rehearsal for each month’s music is required and takes place the prior Wednesday from 4-5:30 p.m., plus a Sunday warm up at 4 p.m. before Vespers service at 6 p.m.

“Sound the Trumpet” Organ Recital | Sunday, November 24 | 2 p.m.
Whether you are a classical music enthusiast or simply looking for something new to do on a Sunday afternoon, this event promises to be an enriching musical experience for all. St. Barnabas Music Director & Organist, Sheila Bristow, will perform solo organ music of Bach, Buxtehude, and Mendelssohn. Soprano Emily Neer and mezzo–soprano Rae Hyra join for vocal duets by Cozzolani and Purcell. Join us for a musical celebration the end the church year on Christ the King Sunday!
This is a free recital, however your donation will help the St. Barnabas Music Ministry continue to provide quality music programs such as this recital, Vespers with Schola Nova, and other special programming throughout the year. Thank you for your generosity and support.
